In-form West Ham striker Diafra Sakho's stunning form is currently on ice, with the forward nursing an injured shoulder.
The Mirror reported this week that the Senegalese forward faced up to a month on the sidelines, but West Ham are far more optimistic.
Club co-chairman David Gold responded to a supporter on Twitter this morning, that he hopes Sakho will return in 10 days time.
His response shows the Hammers have given up on Sakho making this weekend's away visit to Stoke City, but the fact they are hoping to have him back the week after against Aston Villa is highly encouraging.
Sakho has six goals in six starts in the Premier League, seven appearances in total, and has been one of the signings of the season.
If he does not make it back for the Villa game, West Ham have extra time to play with, for the subsequent international break means their next game is away to Everton on November 22.
Despite the fears over Sakho's injury, it appears the most he will miss is one game, and the worst case scenario is two.
