Arsenal have been linked with making a potential winter move for Grzegorz Krychowiak as Arsene Wenger mulls over defensive midfield options ahead of the January transfer market.
Reports this morning suggest that Arsenal’s scouting team have been following the progress of Krychowiak closely, suggesting a long term interest from the Gunners which stretches back to the summer.
Here are five facts about him.
He’s a 24-year-old defensive midfielder playing for Sevilla in La Liga.
He’s played for Poland at three different levels of international football; under-20, under-21 and senior level.
He made his debut for the senior side in 2008 when he was just 18-years-old.
He started his senior career with Bordeaux, which was also the last youth team he represented.
His best spell was with Reims between 2012 and 2014 where he scored eight goals in 70 appearances.
The Sun’s initial report on him doesn’t mention an obvious fee but it’s likely to be more than the £3.5-4 million Sevilla paid to sign him.
