Liverpool's £20 million signing from Southampton was clearly pleased with his winning goal.
Liverpool defeated Swansea City in the Capital One Cup last night - although they needed extra time to do the business.
The Reds eventually won the game 2-1 thanks to goals from summer signings Mario Balotelli and Dejan Lovren. IUt was Balotelli's second goal since making his £16 million switch to Liverpool and it came in a week in which he has received plenty of criticism for his performances for the club.
But Lovren has not been immune to criticism since his £20 million move from Southampton. He has failed to match the excellent performances that made him such an in-demand commodity in the summer transfer market.
The Croatian has not been the rock at the back many expected him to become, but the goal last night will certainly give him the confidence boost he also seems to need.
He was clearly happy with scoring his first goal for the club, as he shared this Tweet with fans the morning after the game.
Liverpool fans will hope he turns his attention back to stopping goals rather than scoring them very soon.
