Chelsea morning news: Mourinho unhappy, Pellegrini smiled at RVP goal

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho says no players gave him a selection problem ahead of the Premier League game against QPR.

The boss admits he was looking for stars to give him problems in the League Cup win against Shrewsbury Town but none delivered.

“I love problems. I love problems of choices. And, it is easy to choose my team for Saturday. Easy. They didn't create me big problems,” said the boss.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says he smiled when Robin Van Persie scored an equaliser against Chelsea last weekend.

The Blues missed the chance to extend their lead over City by another two points after they were held at Old Trafford.

“I don’t remember. At that moment I thought the game was finished and I went to drink a glass of water. When they told me after how the game finished I smiled,” said the Chilean.

Chelsea loanee Fernando Torres says he’s looking to use AC Milan as a stepping stone to get back into the Spanish national team.

Torres moved to Milan on a two-year deal during last summer’s transfer window.

“We hope to build another great Milan side and play again in Europe. I will give everything and hope that will take me back into the national side,” he told the Mirror.
