Also thank you for all the tweets people it means a lot !! So happy to score my first senior goal tonight, hopefully more to come— Callum Robinson (@CallumRobbo37) October 28, 2014
Aston Villa youngster Callum Robinson took to Twitter on Tuesday night to express his delight at scoring his first senior goal in Preston North End’s 2-0 league win over Leyton Orient.
The 19-year-old striker first joined the League One side in mid-September on a month-long loan, but his impressive attacking outings moved manager Simon Grayson to have his spell in the North West extended until January 3.
Having made his first start in five appearances in last Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Gillingham, the England Under-20 international was again named in the line-up for the trip to Brisbane Road and proceeded to open the scoring after just 19 minutes, prompting a wave of congratulations from both his Villa and Preston teammates after the match.

Considered one of Villa’s brightest prospects, Robinson made his senior debut in a 4-0 Capital One Cup defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last September, before going on to make four Premier League cameos towards the end of the season.
The promising front man had been training with the first-team at the start of the new campaign, despite not seeing match action, but wouldn’t be averse to having Preston stay being extended beyond January if things go well over the coming months.
‘At the moment I am here until January but it could get extended, that depends on how things are going,’ he told the Lancashire Evening Post last week.
‘It would be nice to be involved until the end of the season especially if the club is pushing for promotion.’
