Tottenham Hotspur legend Osvaldo Ardiles has expressed his delight at the inclusion of Carlos Tevez in the Argentina national team.
The Juventus striker will be part of the South American giants’ squad for their friendly game against Croatia and Portugal in England next month.
Argentina will take on Croatia at the Boleyn Ground in London on November 12, before facing Portugal at Old Trafford in Manchester.
Tevez has been recalled to the Albiceleste squad after a three-year absence, and former Argentina international Ardiles is overjoyed with his compatriot’s return.
Very happy Tevez is again in the national team. He deserves it. Congratulations Carlitos— osvaldo ardiles (@osvaldooardiles) October 28, 2014
Tottenham winger Erik Lamela has retained his place in the Argentina squad despite his inconsistent form, while Manchester United duo Angel di Maria and Marcos Rojo are also in.
