Ronaldo wants to attend a Sheffield Wednesday game, says Semedo

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo plans on coming to Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo claims that Cristiano Ronaldo is hoping to watch a game at Hillsborough this season.

Semedo and Ronaldo are still good friends after playing with each-other during their youth days at Sporting Lisbon and the Owls man says that the Portuguese superstar is keen to come and watch him.

Semedo himself has been trying to convince him to make the trip to Yorkshire soon and Ronaldo is apparently aiming to watch the Championship side in action.

“He is very keen to come and watch a game,” he is quoted as saying in the Sheffield Telegraph. “Cristiano wants to come and watch me play."

“I have told him all our fans would love to see him here. The fans keep asking me about him.”

If they are to welcome Ronaldo, they will be hoping to provide him with some entertainment.

So far this season, the club have struggled for goals and they will need to work on their performances in this area if they are to impress the Real Madrid star.

Wednesday currently sit just inside the top-half of the table, but their form more recently has been poor.

Stuart Gray's men made an encouraging start to the campaign, but have lost the knack of winning of late and they will know they need to start picking up three points soon.

Wednesday's next match is against Charlton Athletic this weekend, and a win could push them closer to the play-off places.
