QPR vice-chairman Amit Bhatia has hailed the 'excellent' performance of defender Yun Suk-Young against Aston Villa.

Harry Redknapp's side clinched an important 2-0 victory, with Yun playing a key role in the home side keeping a clean sheet.

Bhatia used his Twitter feed on Tuesday to praise the display of the South Korean, who was also singled out by Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher after the match.

The left-back was making only his second league start of the season, having played the previous match against Liverpool.

He proved invaluable at the back in terms of recovering possession, but if there is an area of his game to work on, it's his crossing, failing to find a teammate with any of his three deliveries into the box.

Suk-Young told QPR's website: "I feel I’m improving with every match. I’m really enjoying myself and I hope I can stay in the side.

"I’m very happy that we won, the QPR fans were singing my name which was nice and I’d like to say thank you to them for supporting me."
