Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy has sent a message of thanks to Arsenal fans as he continues his recovery from injury.
The Frenchman posted pictures of himself working hard in the gym as he looks to get back to a stage of fitness where he can re-join first team training with Arsene Wenger’s side.
Debuchy made a great start to his Arsenal career before he picked up a problem with his ankle, which required surgery with Wenger confirming the defender would be out of action until the New Year.
While it’s encouraging to see him working hard to get fitter sooner, Arsenal have to be careful he doesn’t over train because there is always a risk that he could be out for much longer than first feared.
Fortunately for the Gunners, Calum Chambers was signed from Southampton in the summer and he’s been doing a solid job on the right hand side of defence while Debuchy has been in the treatment room.
