Sammy Ameobi says that all he wants is a chance to play football free from injury this season.
The Newcastle United winger has started to live up to his early promise this campaign, and he is now aiming to maintain his high standards for the foreseeable future.
To do this, Ameobi is hoping that he can stay clear of the treatment table and in Alan Pardew's first-team line-up.
"Hopefully I can get a good stint of football," he said to Newcastle's official site. "That's all I want; injury-free football. I'll keep working, strengthening myself, and hopefully I'll get that."
Ameobi was Newcastle's hero at the weekend, as he scored only seven seconds after coming off the substitutes' bench to help turn around the match against Tottenham Hotspur in the Magpies' favour.
It was the second victory the club had picked up in as many matches after a slow start, and they will be looking to push on and climb the table now.
During this time Ameobi has proven his worth as an impact substitute, but he will be wanting to ensure that he does enough to start making more starts in the future.
The youngster has always been a threat to defences due to his pace and power, but often he could appear clumsy and his final ball was lacking.
However, there is a greater accuracy to his play now, and if he can continue to perform at this level he is likely to be one of Alan Pardew's side's major attacking threats.
