Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker has spoken out over what makes Drogba so good…
Chelsea edged a 2-1 victory over Shrewsbury at the Greenhous Meadow, but the winning margin could have been wider had a strike from the powerful veteran Drogba not been ruled offside just before the break.
The Ivorian, a legend amongst Blues fans, finally netted his third goal in as many games in the 48th minute and remained a threat for as long as he was on the pitch.
He even earned the praise of BBC Match of the Day anchor Gary Lineker, who commented on Twitter that "Drogba is a terrific professional."
Lineker added: "His attitude and enthusiasm is unwavering whatever the game.
"[He is] an example to players everywhere."
Drogba may only be a tertiary choice striker in West London but the 36-year-old's return has already proven to be worth the money spent on agreeing his contract as the striker has scored in the Premier League, Champions League and now the League Cup.
