Five facts on reported Manchester United target Abdul Majeed Waris

Manchester United are being linked with a move for striker Abdul Majeed Waris.

Several reports have suggested that Manchester United are interested in trying to do a deal for Abdul Majeed Waris, with assistant coach Ryan Giggs having reportedly scouted the player personally.

Attack is not an area where the Manchester United squad falls short at the moment but Louis van Gaal’s club are always on the look out for exciting opportunities, with LvG having previously stated the club are always keeping their eyes open.

Here are five facts about the latest forward to be linked with an Old Trafford move.

He’s 23-years-old, just under five feet and eight inches tall and plays for Turkish side Trabzonspor.

He started life in the reserve side of English club Forest Green Rovers.

He started his professional senior career by signing a four-year deal with Swedish club BK Hacken, making it two years into that deal before he moved to Spartak Moscow.

He’s never made it into double figures at any senior side (in terms of goals scored) other than at BK Hacken.

He’s made 14 appearances for the Ghana national team with three goals to his name already.
