Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski is a flamboyant character, and it seems that that it has landed him in a movie.
The 29-year-old Germany international will feature in a German comedy film called ‘Macho Man’ and will play himself in it.
‘The film will be shot in my hometown Cologne, where I grew up and where my career started’, Goal.com quotes Podolski as saying in a press release.
‘My scene takes place in the stadium and it’s really funny, I think. I am curious to see the result when I go to the premiere and see myself on the screen’.
The movie is adapted from Moritz Netenjakob’s novel which revolves around the relationship between Daniel Hagenberger and Aylin Denizoglu.
Podolski is certainly relishing the prospect of making his movie debut, and perhaps that could open the door for him to a full-time career in acting after he retires from playing professional football...
