Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Pochettino on problem, Baldini 'personally scouts' midfielder

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham need to improve their winning mentality.

Tottenham suffered their third loss after a Europa League game this season after making a good start to the game against Newcastle United.

“We have improved our physical and tactical condition but now our challenge is to create a winning mentality. The first 45 minutes was our best in the beginning of the season but after there was a lack of concentration,” said the boss.

The Metro claims Spurs Technical Director Franco Baldini has personally scouted Christoph Kramer of Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 23-year-old was a key component of the Germany side that win the World Cup in Brazil last summer.

Kramer is on loan at Monchengladbach from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

Spurs continue to be linked with a move for West Brom forward Saido Berahino.

However, the Daily Mail has suggested that Liverpool will challenge the North Londoners over any deal with a £25 million offer of their own.

Berahino has scored seven goals in nine appearances so far this season.
