Star Wars: Tie Fighter and Star Wars: X-Wing are finally getting a digital release.

It has been twenty years since LucasArts released their legendary Star Wars: Tie Fighter game and twenty one years since the release of the equally legendary Star Wars: X-Wing.

Fans of these classic games have been crying out for a digital release, compatible with modern operating systems, for years and finally they are getting their wish. The games will be released in their full special editions meaning you get hundreds of missions on top of the original full games. 

gog.com will be releasing the games tomorrow, 28th October 2014, and they will be priced at $9.99 each.

If you have played these games before then you know that you are getting some of the best games ever released, if not then you are in for a real treat. An added bonus is that these releases will be available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS meaning they will be open to almost everyone.
