Stuart Pearce has suggested that Nottingham Forest will enter the loan market to solve the current problems that the side have.
The Reds made a brilliant start to the season, but their form has been alarmingly poor more recently and Pearce seems to be on the hunt for more quality to add to his squad now.
The English manager hinted today that he will make two loan signings in the imminent future, as he seeks to return Forest back into promotion.
"We have got two loans left available to us when you look at the loan players we have already got," he said to the Nottingham Post. "If we can bring the right ones in, we will."
Here is a list of four possible targets for the Championship promotion hopefuls.
Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)
Reports surfaced last week that Jack Grealish was set for a Forest loan, but the club were quick to quash those links.
They may be reconsidering that opinion now, though. Forest have lacked creativity in more recent weeks and Grealish may be the perfect addition to bring the best out of their goalscoring threats.
The Irish youngster has already torn apart defences in Nottingham, whilst on a loan spell with Notts County, and he seems to have all the talent required to play in the Championship.
Barry Bannan (Crystal Palace)
The Scotland international is struggling to break into the team at Crystal Palace, but that is surely not due to his ability.
Despite being sleight of statute, Bannan is one of the most technically able players in the Palace squad.
A box of tricks, he is the sort of attacking midfielder who would be a major threat in the second-tier and Forest could benefit massively from adding him to their squad.
Dwight Gayle (Crystal Palace)
Britt Assombalonga may be leading the scoring charts in the Championship, but only Michail Antonio has came close to keeping up with him.
The Reds are very reliant on these two for goals, and Gayle could help take some of the pressure off the attacking duo.
Although the former Peterborough United striker has not played too much this season for Palace, his goalscoring record remains exceptional at whatever level he has played and his arrival would only be a good thing for Forest.
Adel Taarabt (Queens Park Rangers)
Arguably the most ambitious target on the list, Taarabt would immediately become the best player in the Championship if he was to move to the City Ground.
The Moroccan may be a divisive character, but he is wonderfully gifted and has already shown his undoubted quality at this level earlier in his career.
Taarabt is looking for a way out of QPR after a public dispute with Harry Redknapp and a short-term temporary move could be a good thing for all parties.
