Reported Liverpool target Isco is preferred over Gareth Bale by 82% of Real Madrid fans who took part in an online poll run by Marca.
Isco produced a superb performance against Liverpool in the Champions League last week to show the Reds what all of the fuss is about and he backed that up with a solid display in the Clasico against Barcelona over the weekend.
A report from Marca stated that he was the preferred option for fans in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting line-up ahead of Gareth Bale, who joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £85 million.
“Isco's performances have been such that a €91 million player has barely been missed. In a recent MARCA.com poll, almost 82% of respondents said they'd rather have the Spaniard in Real Madrid's starting line-up than Bale, compared to just 18% who voted for the Welshman,” reported Marca.
As his popularity with Madrid fans increases, it’s arguable that Liverpool, or any other side, will see their chances of signing him disintegrate. However, Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria were popular players at the Bernabeu too.
