Manchester City midfielder James Milner says that he is expecting a mixed reception when he takes on Newcastle United in the Capital One Cup.

The England international once represented the Magpies and he feels that they haven't fully forgiven him for leaving to join City.

“I’ve had a few mixed receptions in all honesty but generally not too bad,” he said to the Manchester Evening News. “I was warming up earlier this season and I had the odd shout from the stands which wasn’t ideal, but everyone is entitled to their opinion and people are understandably loyal to their team."

Milner also said that the League Cup is a competition which they are taking very seriously this season.

"I think everyone can see how seriously we take it by the teams we’ve put out in the past few years and nothing will change this year," he said.

Manu Garcia is enjoying life at City, following a move to the club this summer from Sporting Gijon.

The youngster is yet to make an appearance for the first-team, but he has earned rave reviews for his performances at under-18 level and he says that he is loving playing for the club.

"I really liked City, there are a lot of Spanish players, and the programme for improvement, the new Academy, the facilities were all fantastic," he told the club's official site. “The first couple of months were very difficult but now I’m really enjoying it.”

Finally, Celtic manager Ronny Deila has suggested that John Guidetti could complete a permanent move to Parkhead in the near future.

The Swedish striker is currently on loan with the Bhoys and has impressed during his initial time there so far.

It means that the Scottish champions now want to keep hold of the striker and Deila has hinted that he could try and make the move a permanent one soon.

"I hope he stays here and we will do everything we can to make him become a Celtic player permanently," he said to the Daily Record
