Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Jose Mourinho’s side headed into the contest as favourites, having been the most impressive team in the English top flight so far this season.
The Blues were better than United in the first half and took the lead in the opening minutes of the second period. Didier Drogba rolled back the years to head Chelsea in front in the 53rd minute. It was the 36-year-old’s first league goal since 2012.
Although Mourinho went on the defensive as the second half progressed, Chelsea failed to protect the lead and conceded a late equaliser. Following Branislav Ivanovic’s late sending-off, Van Persie stabbed home in injury time to make it 1-1.
The draw was a fair reflection of the game, but Chelsea players thought otherwise. Following the match, a number of the London outfit’s players took to social media to express their frustration at failing to win.
Below are the reactions from Andre Schurrle, John Terry, Didier Drogba and former Chelsea star Demba Ba.
