Newcastle United attacker Sammy Ameobi was one of the stars of the show against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 22-year-old came on as a half-time substitute and scored within 10 seconds of the restart. It became 1-1 in the Premier League clash at White Hart Lane at that stage.
Fellow substitute Remy Cabella provided the cross for Ayoze Perez to head in his first goal for the Magpies on 58 minutes, as Newcastle stunned the Spurs fans to eventually win the game 2-1.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has been widely hailed for his substitutions, with former Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona striker Gary Lineker taking to social networking site Twitter to praise him.
One of the great managerial changes in PL history. Ameobi scores in a few seconds of coming on as a sub. Hail Pardew!— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) October 26, 2014
Newcastle were dreadful in the first half. Transformed by 2 halftime substitutions. Good management!— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) October 26, 2014
Ameobi, too, has been praised for his display, but his stats show that he had a mixed game.
|Goals||Total Shots||Shots on Target||Total Dribbles||Dribbles Won||Total Pass||Accurate Pass||Appearances||Mins Played|
Ameobi also won all his duels and tackles, and gave a good account of himself, but he certainly has room for improvement.
