What Erik Lamela does, Alex Song can do better. Well, not almost, but he did show that he has the quality to do a ‘rabona.’.
Tottenham Hotspur winger Lamela has been hitting the headlines over the past few day for a truly outrageous goal against Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League on Thursday.
On Saturday, West Ham United midfielder Song did a ‘rabona’ as well, only he did not try to score but put in a cross with the trick.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who joined the Hammers from Barcelona on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window, was just inside the Manchester City penalty box when he did the ‘rabona’ trick to whip in a cross.

Perhaps that rabona cross was not as impressive as Lamela’s goal on Thursday, but Song was the best player on the pitch at the Boleyn Ground.
The Cameroon international, formerly at Arsenal, won three tackles, two interceptions and seven duels as West Ham registered a 2-1 victory over the defending English champions.
