Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand hailed his ex-teammate Adnan Januzaj on Sunday, as the Belgian started the match against Chelsea.
The game ended 1-1, with Robin van Persie scoring a last-gasp equaliser after Didier Drogba had put the Blues ahead shortly after half-time. But Januzaj's energy impressed - especially prior to the break - and Ferdinand could not hide his enthusiam for the talents of a teenager he knows well from his time at Old Trafford.
"Januzaj has been quality so far," Ferdinand wrote on his official Twitter account. "Passing of the highest order."
Recent reports have claimed Januzaj could be surplus to requirements at United, something Louis van Gaal has dismissed emphatically by picking him against both West Bromwich Albion and Chelsea.
And in the absence of Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao, the teenager stepped up and impressed, helping his side to a vital point as they look to get back to their best.
Januzaj has been quality so far....passing of the highest order. Courtois has been the difference so far...couple of top saves.— Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) October 26, 2014
