Alex Mowatt has taken to social media following Leeds United's game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt has reacted following his missed opportunity to put his club 2-0 up against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
The 19-year-old has had a fine season under a number of different bosses at Elland Road, and it was his impressive pass to Steve Morison that ultimately led to Mirco Antenucci putting the hosts ahead.
But Mowatt scuffed a shot when put through by Morison shortly after and Leeds would go on to lose the game 2-1.
The result prompted the dismissal of Darko Mlianic, who failed to oversee a single victory during his time in charge.
Following the game, Mowatt took to Instagram and Twitter to post a picture of his reaction to the vital miss – the teenager clasping his hands to his mouth – along with the honest and succinct message ‘Should of scored’.
But Mowatt should not be too disappointed with his efforts. He has been one of Leeds’ standout performers this season and he should go on to have a hugely succesful career at the club.
