Adam Campbell, Adam Armstrong, Siem de Jong and Massadio Haidara also tweeted about their side's 2-1 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur.
Emmanuel Adebayor had put the north London side ahead after a first-half header but Sammy Ameobi struck for the Magpies moments into the second half.
Boss Alan Pardew used the win as an opportunity to address his critics.
“At the moment, the Geordie nation does not really think I am good enough so hopefully that has ticked one box that I do know what I am doing," Pardew told Sky Sports.
“I have been here for 701 games now so it is pleasing for me and for my team, because we do a lot stuff that we think is important for the team.
“But they [the players] have to carry it out. At the end of the day, you are as good as your players.
“We have got some belief in them and they showed they are fighting for the shirt. That is what our fans want to see.”
And several players, including Adam Campbell, Adam Armstrong, Siem de Jong and Massadio Haidara, took to social media after the game to celebrate the win.
