John Terry says what it’s like to captain this Chelsea side

Chelsea's captain on what it is like to lead the current Blues stars.

Chelsea defender John Terry has been speaking about what it is like to captain the current crop of Blues players.

In an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, the centre-back spoke about a whole host of things in the build-up to the huge Premier League encounter away to Manchester United.

When asked what it was like to skipper the squad Jose Mourinho has put together this season, Terry was effusive in his praise.

“Really good,” Terry said, “some unbelievable ability and easy to get on with.”

Chelsea are currently top of the table having dropped just two points all season and that is testament to the hard work of all the players Mourinho has relied on already.

This Chelsea side is markedly different from the one that fell slightly short last season and not just due to the wonderful additions of Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas.

There is a confidence now, and a belief that while the last campaign may have come too soon, this one is timed perfectly.

Mourinho openly admitted that he needed time and reinforcements before his side could be considered title contenders. And while few believed him then, chalking his words down as mind-games, there is no avoiding the simple fact that now they most certainly are ready.

And as Terry himself said, there is some unbelievable ability in Chelsea colours right now.
