An ex-Manchester United star has highlighted the importance of the club's fans when they take on Chelsea on Sunday.
The South Korean was a huge fan favourite during his time at Old Trafford, due to his remarkable work-rate, and recently the club announced that Park had become a club ambassador.
Park’s new role sees him attend various events and functions to represent the club he served with such aplomb.
But the former PSV Eindhoven star’s attention will be on one thing and one thing only this afternoon, as United welcome league leaders Chelsea to Old Trafford.
Writing in United Review ahead of the game, Park highlighted the importance of the fans as his side looks to make waves in this season’s title race.
“The supporters have a big part to play today,” Park wrote. “I have no doubt they will show their quality.”
While United have spent big on a number of quality reinforcements, they are yet to gel week in, week out, although their recent performances and results at the Theatre of Dreams have been promising.
Park is right; the fans will be a major factor this afternoon, but only time will tell who will make the difference on the pitch.
