Tottenham Hotspur’s Younes Kaboul eyes victory over Newcastle United in Premier League

Kaboul And Gallas

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul believes that he and his teammates have to be on top of their game against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul has insisted that he and his teammates are determined to win the Premier League clash against Newcastle United.

The North London club will host Alan Pardew’s side at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

Both Spurs and Newcastle will head into the contest on the back of wins, and Kaboul is ready for the challenge from the Magpies, stating that having a winning mentality will be key to picking up the three points.

‘You have to take all the games at 100 per cent and you always need to have a winning mentality’, the 28-year-old centre-back told Tottenham’s official website.

‘Newcastle are coming here having just got their heads above water with an important win last weekend and now they will feel confident ahead of facing us, but we have to win and take the three points. That is the most important thing for us. We want to put on a good show for our fans’.

Heading into this weekend’s round of matches, Tottenham find themselves ninth in the Premier League table with 11 points from eight matches. Meanwhile, Newcastle are third from bottom in the standings with seven points from eight games.

Tottenham will be favourites as they have a better squad on paper, but having picked up their first win of the league season last weekend, Newcastle will be pumped up for an away victory on Sunday.
