Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has backed Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli to score this afternoon.
The Reds will take on Hull City at Anfield in the Premier League in a few minutes' time.
Italy international striker Balotelli has come under severe criticisms in recent days for failing to perform, having yet to break his duck for the Reds in the Premier League so far this season.
The £16 million summer signing was substituted at half time in the Champions League match against Real Madrid at Anfield on Tuesday.
There were suggestions that the 24-year-old former Manchester City star could be dropped from the team today, but he has retained his place in the starting line-up.
Barton has predicted that Balotelli, formerly at Inter Milan and AC Milan, will score against Hull.
You know I actually fancy Balotelli to score today. Tricky fixture for Liverpool but Hull's 3 man back line could play into their hands.— Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) October 25, 2014
