The latest Queens Park Rangers transfer news, views and rumours.

Rio Ferdinand

According to the Sunday People, Rio Ferdinand may actually retire in January not the end of the season.

The QPR defender recently told Jonathan Ross on ITV that he could retire at the end of the current campaign.

However, that footage was apparently re-shot after he initially told the chat show host that he could hang up his boots in January.

“The audience were pretty stunned when he said he might retire in a few weeks’ time in January," an audience member is quoted as saying.

“When the second recording began, Ferdinand didn’t mention going in January – only at the end of the season. But the way he was talking, it looked like he was nearing the end.”

Tony Pulis

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claim that Harry Redknapp has just two games to save his job as QPR boss.

The Rs have only won once during their first eight Premier League games under Redknapp, with the west London side sitting bottom of the table. QPR host Aston Villa at Loftus Road on Monday night in a bid to change that situation.

Should Redknapp be given the sack, however, Tony Pulis has been lined up to replace him, according to the Mail's report.
