Manchester City fans were not impressed with the Bosnian striker this afternoon.
Manchester City's title defence took another hit today after they were defeated by the impressive West Ham United side at Upton Park in the early afternoon kick-off in the Premier League.
Goals from Morgan Almafitano and Diafra Sakho did the business for West Ham and despite a goal from David Silva, again majestic in midfield, it proved nothing but a pure consolation as The Hammers claimed all three points.
City were not at their best, but they looked stilted at times against a West Ham side who did a real number on them.
In particular it was the performance of striker Edin Dzeko that caught much slack from Manchester City fans.
The Bosnian has often been a 'super-sub' for the club, but has recently become more of a permanent fixture.
In recent times however Manchester City fans have been impressed by the performances of injury prone Stevan Jovetic - so much so it might be time to give him more of a chance than the Bosnian.
Today was one of those games which certainly gave credence to those claims.
Dzeko struggled to get a hold on the game from start to finish and it seems he might have to go back to being a bit-part player for a little while.
Here is some of the fan reaction to Dzeko's performance this afternoon...
Everyone hating on Dzeko today. What took so long? He's been City's worst player for a couple years now. Next week, let's ream Fernando— Frank JB (@fbrien07) October 25, 2014
Dzeko winds me up because he sulks when he doesn't play yet puts in a display like today, & few days ago too. Awful.— Big Tone MCFC (@MCFCTone) October 25, 2014
Dzeko has been in awful form, City need a new striker to generate internal competition.— Nate. (@Just_Natee) October 25, 2014

Poor old Dzeko, always gets the brunt of the blame. City getting dominated in midfield much more worrying, surely?— Peter Hall (@PeteHall86) October 25, 2014
Dzeko is a championship player, woeful— Curtis (@CurtisJones__) October 25, 2014
