Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli just cannot do it at the moment; he just cannot.
Following his poor performance against Real Madrid at Anfield in the Champions League on Tuesday and the half-time antics, there were strong suggestions that the Italy international could be dropped against Hull City.
However, manager Brendan Rodgers maintained faith in the 24-year-old and started him against the Tigers at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
But, as the stats below show, Balotelli was once again disappointing and failed to deliver.
|Goals||Total Shots||Shots on Target||Key Passes||Total Dribbles||Dribbles Won||Total Pass||Accurate Pass||Appearances||Mins Played|
Despite playing for the entire 90 minutes, former Manchester City star Balotelli could have just one shot on target. The Italian played only one key pass and won only one of the three dribbles he tried. The ex-AC Milan striker’s pass accuracy was just over 71%.
Balotelli had yet another frustrating afternoon, but he could have proved to be the difference between the two sides had he been a bit lucky in injury time.
