Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has revealed that fellow summer signing Diego Costa is the funniest player in the dressing room.

The Brazilian-born striker has been in lethal form for the Blues so far this season, scoring nine Premier League goals in seven matches.

He has quickly built up a rapport with fellow players and supporters at Stamford Bridge though apparently not just because of his fabulous skills on the pitch.

Spanish international Cesc Fabregas labelled the 26-year-old as the funniest player in the dressing room.

“The dressing room is full of characters. I just think Diego is the funniest because of the way he does it and how he does. He doesn’t speak English the way he tries to speak to people and contact them.” He said.

“With John Terry [he says] ‘Capitano’ – his name is Capitano. I don’t even know if he knows his name. He doesn’t know how to pronounce it so that’s it, Capitano. He’s a proper character, a funny guy.”

The Blues travel to Manchester United this weekend with the hope of extending their unbeaten run though they may have to play without their leading scorer.

Costa is still nursing a hamstring problem which was recently aggravated on international duty, though Mourinho refused to rule out his absence during the pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.
