Yaya Sanogo is working his way back to full fitness after a hamstring problem.
Ever since joining Arsenal French striker Yaya Sanogo has been plagued with injury problems. He suffered with a bad back for much of his first few months at The Emirates. In recent times he has also suffered with injuries and he has been out for the past month and a bit with a hamstring problem.
It was of course a risk Arsenal knew they were taking when they signed him. Sanogo missed most of a two-year period of football as a youngster because of serious injury problems.
However, with Olivier Giroud also absent with a serious injury Sanogo's injury has come at a bad time for the club. But it would appear he could be in line for a first Arsenal appearance since August after recovering from his latest injury setback.
Sanogo was snapped in training today as Arsenal prepare to take on Sunderland at the weekend.
Danny Welbeck has been leading the line by himself recently and there is no doubt that Arsene Wenger would like to give his £16 million man a break at the weekend, if Arsenal find themselves in a comfortable position.
Sanogo's return is therefore a big help for Arsenal - as they continue to await Giroud's return from a broken ankle.
