Last weekend saw plenty of drama, goals and as a result, fantasy points. There were 40 goals scored last week, with Southampton netting eight of them in their emphatic win against Sunderland.
The Saints are at home again this week, and they deserve further fantasy attention for the upcoming round of fixtures too.
Manchester United host Chelsea on Sunday afternoon in what is the biggest game of the weekend, while Manchester City face a tricky trip to an in-form West Ham side on Saturday lunchtime.
It looks set to be another thrilling weekend of action as the season is starting to take shape with each week that passes.
Here is who you should be looking at from a fantasy perspective this week:
DEF - Jose Fonte - Southampton
The Saints have only conceded one goal at home this season, and have the best defensive record in the league. Jose Fonte has been solid at the heart of defence, and the physical battle with Stoke this weekend will mean that the Portuguese defender will be heavily involved. The Saints will look to record back-to-back clean-sheets, while Fonte's aerial threat could prove valuable in what will be a physical encounter.
DEF - Phil Jagielka - Everton
Jagielka has found form of late, and scored again in Everton's convincing 3-0 win against Aston Villa, making it two goals in three for the centre-back. He scored an impressive 14 fantasy points with his display last week, and the Toffees will expect to shutout a Burnley side that has only netted four times in eight games.
MID - Erik Lamela - Spurs
Lamela's incredible 'rabona' goal in the Europa League on Thursday could be the moment of skill that transforms his season. The Argentine has looked good this season, but had yet to really explode. That all changed in the 5-1 win against Asteras Tripolis and Lamela will look to take that form into Sunday's home game against Newcastle. He has yet to score a goal this season, but has three assists and could hurt a Newcastle side that has struggled away from home.
MID - Alexis Sanchez - Arsenal
Sanchez had his most effective game in the league in Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Hull last time out, as the Chilean grabbed a goal and an assist. He now has the chance to take on a Sunderland side that will still be hurting from their embarrassing defeat at Southampton. The Gunners are desperate for a win, and Sanchez looks to be finding his feet. Expect points from the 10.3-rated midfielder.
FOR - Graziano Pelle - Southampton
While Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa have been unstoppable this year, Pelle has been putting goals away just as frequently, and is tied on fantasy points with the Chelsea man, and just two behind Aguero. That is impressive. His home form has been incredible and he will look to add to his tally of six for the season by netting in his fourth consecutive match at St Mary's. If Pelle isn't in your team yet, he should be.
