The Celtic goalkeeper got the acclaim of the club's fans after another impressive performance in the Europa League.
Celtic remained top of their Europa League group after a 2-1 win at Celtic Park last night against Astra Giurgiu but it wasn't all plain sailing for Ronny Deila's men.
Craig Gordon produced heroics for the Hoops again as the two sides went in at half-time goalless, and gave the home side a platform to win the game in the last quarter. Goals from Stefan Scepovic and Stefan Johansen gave Ronny Deila's side a two goal cushion before a scrappy goal from Gabriel Enache pulled one back for the visitors.
As a result of Gordon's performance in goal, the Romanians perhaps feel unfortunate they didn't leave Glasgow with at least a point, and remain without a point in their group, with Celtic currently leading the way on seven points, in a good position to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
Celtic fans reacted positively to Gordon's performance, who had big boots and gloves to fill at Parkhead following the departure of Fraser Forster to Southampton, but he seems to be proving his worth, particularly in Europe.
Here is what a few fans had to say:
One thing is apparent Craig Gordon is the best signing we have made this season HH

That was torture but I'd have took 7pts from 3 games, without Craig Gordon I think we'd be sitting with 0 pts. Plenty room for improvement

One thing positive I will say about Celtic. I was dead wrong about Craig Gordon. What a goalkeeper!

Mind we got Craig Gordon for free? Tremendous replacement for Forster.
