We rate Everton's players during their 0-0 draw with Lille last night.
Tim Howard - 6
The Everton stopper wasn't called into action too many times, because of the sturdy defensive performance put in in-front of him.
Tony Hibbert - 7
Has stepped up recently, despite doubts over his ability, and was very strong last night. Didn't put a foot wrong.
Phil Jagielka - 8
Man of the match. The central-defender was at his brilliant best last night as he denied Lille on countless occasions. Strong in the air and composed in the tackle, it wasn't far off a faultless performance.
Sylvain Distin - 6
A solid performance from the veteran defender, even if it wasn't as impressive as Jagielka's showing.
Leighton Baines - 7
Good performance from the left-back, who is one of the side's key players. Baines is almost guaranteed to be a 7/10 or above performer every week.
Muhamed Besic - 6
The Bosnian linked the play up well, but wasn't particularly noticeable in the match.
Gareth Barry - 7
The Everton midfielder has not been at his best so far this campaign, but put in a good display last night. He has great ability in possession and this Toffees side are unquestionably better when Barry is on his game.
Aiden McGeady - 5
So often inconsistent, this was one of McGeady's poorer games as nothing he tried seemed to come off. On his day he is a match-winner, but this was a frustrating performance.
Steven Pienaar - 5
A quiet performance from the South African, who had little impact on the match in an attacking sense. Starting to show signs of age.
Ross Barkley - 5
A rather surprising starter, given he is still on his comeback from injury, Barkley couldn't maintain his high standard of performance which he put in against Aston Villa in the Premier League. The game-time should have done him good, though, after such a lengthy absence.
Samuel Eto'o - 6
Must be pushing closer to Premier League starts, as his form in Europe is good. Looked Everton's most likely scorer on the night, even if he didn't find the net.
