Last summer it was one of those transfer rumours that simply would not go away, but now Gonzalo Higuain is doing the rounds once again.
The Argentine striker began a war for his services when he announced he wanted to depart Real Madrid - and it looked as though Arsenal had their man.
Now it is rumoured that both Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on is signature.
Higuain has struggled for form at Napoli this season, while he is also believed to be upset at the club's inability to qualify for the Champions League.
With Arsenal still lacking in striking options, despite the arrival of Danny Welbeck, and Liverpool fans already sick of Mario Balotelli - the boot fits.
Not according to Gonzalo's brother Federico it doesn't. Higuain's older brother is one of the stars in MLS - playing for Columbus Crew.
And he has told the Italian press, as translated by Football Italia, that his brother is not interested in a departure:
“I have read and heard different things about my brother, but none of these things correspond to reality.
“People have spoken of the disappointment of not qualifying for the Champions League, and that this has caused resentment from Gonzalo.
“Nothing could be further from the truth. When I speak to my brother he is calm, and happy to wear the shirt of Napoli.
“His future is still with the Partenopei.”
If Arsenal and Liverpool are looking for striking reinforcements in the winter, they may need to move away from Higuain as a likely target.
