Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk has indicated that he is open to moving to Arsenal.
The Netherlands international centre-back has established himself as one of the best in his position in the Scottish Premiership.
Given the problems that Arsenal are facing at the back, there have been reports that the Premier League outfit could make a move for the Van Dijk in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old, who is rated at £8 million, has been in impressive form since moving to Celtic from Dutch club Groningen in the summer of 2013.
Van Dijk’s current contract with Celtic runs until June 2017, but he has indicated that he could be willing to switch teams soon.
‘Arsenal is an amazing club, of course’, he told Sky Sports. ‘It’s a big club. But Celtic are as well. I am very happy right now here. I just want to play good games for Celtic and then see what happens...
‘There is no bidding right now. I have ambitious, of course, like every player. Celtic is an amazing club, with big history, amazing stadium, fans and everything. There is no rush to leave or anything, but you never know in the future’.
