Dicko on Leeds
Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Nouha Dicko has complemented Leeds United in the build-up to the fixture at the weekend.
Wolves travel to Leeds on Saturday and although the striker wants to take the three points from Elland Road he still had time to praise the opposition.
“Leeds is a big club with a good stadium but hopefully we can go there and get the points," he said to Wolves' official site.
“Hopefully we can go to Leeds and get an away win which we haven’t had for a while."
Wednesday man wants international call
Liam Palmer is aiming to force his way into the Scotland squad by keeping up his good form with Sheffield Wednesday.
The defender has put in a number of impressive displays and he is hoping he can represent his country soon, as a result.
“If a Scotland call-up came, that would be nice,” he said to the Sheffield Star.
"I’m just concentrating on doing the best that I can every game for Sheffield Wednesday and hopefully that goes hand in hand in the future with a potential call-up.”
Morgan looking to push on
Rotherham United captain Craig Morgan insists that the club cannot rest on their laurels after a good start.
"We had no idea how we’d do in the league so to have been competing in every games is something we can be proud of, but we can’t sit on that," he said to the Sheffield Star. "We’ve got to look to push forward."
Clough praises Basham
Nigel Clough has praised the performance of Sheffield United defender Craig Basham against Yeovil Town.
The Blades picked up a 2-0 win over Yeovil to climb up the table, and Clough was pleased by the display of Basham.
“I thought Chris Basham especially led the defensive line superbly," he said to the Sheffield Telegraph.
“He was getting us out, competing for every single ball."
