Demarai Gray’s future at Birmingham City has been the subject of intense speculation in recent months, with the Daily Mirror reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are the latest side tracking the teenage attacker.
Gray, 18, broke into the first-team at St Andrew’s last season and has since been hailed as one of the Championship’s most exciting prospects, with the club already rejecting a £500,000 bid from Crystal Palace earlier this summer.

Tottenham are now understood to be among the leading contenders for the £2million-rated winger, who has 18 months left on his current deal, but a potential approach could well come up short due to a special agreement Birmingham have with Premier League rivals Liverpool.
It was revealed in late-September that the Anfield giants have a “matching rights deal” clause as part of the loan agreement which saw Jordan Ibe farmed out to the Blues last season, allowing them first option to match any offer made for the player.
That would seem to make Merseyside the England Under-19 international’s likeliest future destination and, though Spurs will no doubt still try to acquire his signature in the coming months, Mauricio Pochettino’s side would have to make a sizeable bid to ensure that Liverpool are put off, or hope that the Reds' reported interest cools.
