A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
Andros Townsend has urged his teammates not to get complacent ahead of the Europa League game against Asteras Tripolis.
Spurs go into this match off the back of a draw in their last game against Besiktas.
“We've played against Partizan and Besiktas already in the group, and for Asteras Tripolis to have done well against those sides and be top of the group after two games shows how much we need to take them seriously,” he told the Tottenham website.
Mauricio Pochettino says he’s enjoying life at the club after joining over the summer.
The Argentine’s side have been inconsistent but he’s been positive about the challenge he’s found at White Hart Lane.
“I have enjoyed my four months at Tottenham. We knew when we signed for Tottenham that we expected a tough period - this is a very good challenge for us,” said the boss.
Pochettino has also urged the club’s fans to be patient as the many changes he’s made to the squad take effect over the first half of the campaign.
“Maybe we need time. We made a lot of changes in the beginning of the season for our squad and we had to put a different philosophy on the group - maybe we will show more consistency later in the season,” he added.
