According to the Daily Mail, young midfielder Suso is wanted by AC Milan after their C.E.O – Adriano Galliani – hinted he was monitoring the Liverpool player’s situation.
‘‘Transfer market? I know where we can improve, but I don’t tell that to you,’’ Galliani told reporters. ‘‘Suso? He has an expiring contract and he’ll tell us if he wants to move or stay.’’
The response prompted the Mirror to run a poll on the player, asking Liverpool fans if they thought the 20-year-old deserved a proper spell in the first team.
The overwhelming majority have backed the youngster to play in the Liverpool first team and judging by the numbers would be extremely disappointed to see the Spaniard leave in the summer when his contract expires.
At the minute, the Spanish playmaker is sidelined with a groin injury which he picked up earlier in the month.
When he returns, depending on the situation, whether or not he plays will be a big decision by Brendan Rodgers to make.
If he does play him: The Spanish midfielder will have to prove that he was left out the team on a clear oversight and work hard in order to earn a new contract. The 20-year-old will have to be able to prove he fits into the system Rodgers plays and that he is better than the competition around him, including the likes of Jordon Ibe, who is out on loan at Derby County, but also tipped for a big future at Liverpool.
If he doesn’t play him: Suso will more than likely start planning his future away from Anfield, and given his form in La Liga, it could be seen as a huge mistake by Rodgers if he goes on to succeed.
