While all of Roma's players were slated after their 7-1 embarrassment at the hands of Bayern Munich, Ashley Cole may have the worst hangover.
The former Chelsea defender was ruthlessly hounded by Arjen Robben and was withdrawn at half time, leaving the Italian press to rip him to shreds.
Cole received some terrible write-ups and most papers gave him 3 or 3.5/10 for his performance, which was labelled 'a disaster'.
It seems that Cole's position in the Roma defensive hierarchy has been damaged and rumours that the England international could be ditched as soon as January are growing in volume.
There may still be the option for Cole to join an MLS side, which was mooted before he opted to sign for Roma.
Initially it seemed that Cole was struggling to settle in Rome, but things seemed to pick up a little before the Giallorossi's mid-week humiliation.
It is being suggested that Garcia's decision to pick Holebas is a significant sign that he has lost faith in Cole because Holebas has also been shaky so far this season.
