Match to be played on Saturday 25th October 2014 at 15:00. Venue: Stadium of Light, Sunderland.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be hoping to see more from his team against Sunderland after a frustrating draw against Hull City last weekend.
The Gunners are on a high heading into the match against Sunderland as they snatched a late win away to Anderlecht in the Champions League, which saved Wenger from a difficult press conference tomorrow morning.
Arsenal are without Jack Wilshere, who is suspended after a fifth yellow card last weekend, but the Gunners have Aaron Ramsey available for selection again, which is important for their midfield.
For Sunderland, Gus Poyet will be hoping that his side don’t have a hangover from the embarrassing 8-0 defeat against Southampton last weekend.
It was a result which seemed to shock several members of the Sunderland side and there should have been a determination this week in training to react positively.
Poyet may be worried about his side conceding more goals against Arsenal so expect to see them setup with a strong and resilient defensive system.
Here are the sides that each team could take into the match.
Sunderland: Mannone, Vergini, O’Shea, Bridcutt, van Aanholt, Cattermole, Buckley, Rodwell, Johnson, Wickham, Fletcher
Arsenal: Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Flamini, Ramsey, Cazorla, Sanchez, Welbeck
