Mauricio Pochettino believes that he can create something special at Tottenham Hotspur in the future.
Spurs have made a rather middling start to the current campaign, but Pochettino thinks that things will improve in time.
The Argentine boss feels that he can guide Spurs to silverware in the near future and, although they may not deliver too much success this year, they are on the right tracks.
"I have a clear idea from the club, from the board, and I agree and we need to build something special and Tottenham want to build something special," he said to the Standard.
"I am sure that in the end we achieve something important. Maybe in six months, maybe in one year, or maybe in two years."
"But I am sure that the club, in the end, will achieve a very important trophy."
Spurs are currently lurking just outside the top four in the Premier League, but their performances will have to be improved on if they are to make it into the Champions League in Pochettino's first season in charge.
The side have struggled without a goalscorer in their ranks, whilst they have been exposed defensively against the top-sides they have faced so far.
That said, Pochettino should be given time to develop his squad as they club seek stability after a tumultuous season last time around.
Spurs host Newcastle United this weekend, where they will be seeking to add another three points to their total and bounce back from defeat to Manchester City.
