Manchester United's record signing Angel di Maria has been passed fit to take to Chelsea, and will be reunited with the manager who helped make him the player he is today.
Jose Mourinho signed the Argentine international in 2010, with Di Maria the first player he signed after being appointed as manager at Real Madrid.
Di Maria played a key role in Madrid winning a La Liga title, and pushing Barcelona hard in the race for more.
The partnership was mutually beneficial, with Di Maria describing Mourinho as a key influence on his career.
Di Maria said last year: "Mourinho moved me to a new position, to provide more sacrifice. I am very grateful to him."
"He said that at Real I should be a forward who could also defend. I could not rest when the opponent attacked us ... the Di Maria who began his career at Rosario Central, compared to the one now, tactically and technically, is another player."
Now the £60 million man goes up against his former boss for the first time, and share happy memories of their last visit to Old Trafford together, with Mourinho and Di Maria winning 2-1 in the Champions League on that occasion.
This time promises to be very different. Mourinho may know Di Maria well, but whether he can find a way to stop the irrepressible star is another matter entirely.
