I'm relieved about yesterday's victory but nevertheless these weights feel heavy on my shoulders ... pic.twitter.com/gj6TcVacda— Mesut Özil (@MesutOzil1088) October 23, 2014
Mesut Ozil has posted a picture on social media site Twitter today, as he begins training after picking up a knee injury.
The German attacking midfielder has been ruled out for the entirety of 2015 with a knee complaint, but he is still working hard on his upper body strength.
Ozil often has looked too lightweight to play in the Premier League and it seems that he is working hard to develop his strength whilst he is limited in what he can do on the football pitch.
The former Real Madrid man still has his leg protected so cannot kick a football, but that has not stopped him doing some training today.
Ozil also expressed his relief at his side's victory in the Champions League last night.
Arsenal had looked to be heading towards a discouraging defeat to Anderlecht, but late goals from Kieran Gibbs and Lukas Podolski provided them with a 2-1 triumph and put them in a commanding position in the group.
It is something that Ozil is clearly happy about and he may still be able to play a part in Arsenal's European campaign if they can make it through the group-stages when he does eventually return from his set-back in the new year.
