The rarely spotted Andy Carroll has finally been seen back on the training field for West Ham.
The £15 million striker has been injured all season after picking up an ankle problem in pre-season, but is slated to return in November.
His return to training activities with the first team, confirmed via the club's Twitter feed, is a hugely encouraging sign for the Hammers.
Sitting a lofty fourth in the Premier League, Carroll's comeback will hand them a significant boost in maintaining their strong start to the season.
With Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia in superb form, there's no guarantee the striker will walk back into the side. That also works as a positive as there is less temptation for the club to rush Carroll's return, but on that front, signs are certainly looking up.
