Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has reiterated that he is not looking to leave anytime soon.
The Spain international has recently been linked with a move to 2014 Champions League winners Real Madrid.
De Gea, who has been at Old Trafford since 2011, insists that he is happy at United and told German football magazine Kicker: ‘Those are rumours. I am happy here’.
De Gea’s rumoured move to Madrid stems from the fact that the Los Blancos are reportedly looking for a long-term replacement for Iker Casillas.
One of the true legends of the game, 33-year-old Casillas is coming towards the end of his career and has made some high-profile errors over the past few months.
On the other hand, De Gea has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world over the past two years and is also a full Spain international.
The 23-year-old is widely tipped to succeed Casillas the Spain number one in the coming months, and there are reports that Madrid want to bring him back to the Spanish capital despite having signed Keylor Navas from Levante in the summer transfer window.
However, it does not appear that De Gea will leave United anytime soon. The former Atletico star has often spoken of his love for the Manchester outfit and is likely to eventually sign an extension to his contract which runs out in June 2016.
