The former Tottenham Hotspur chairman took a cheeky dig at his former club.
A little ambition never hurt anyone - but it seems to be a double-edged sword for Tottenham.
Indeed, the north London side's drive for success has taken them to the cusp of becoming a top-four club - and making the top four twice under Harry Redknapp.
But that constant yearning for Champions League football has, at the same time, cost several managers their jobs and caused an extra strain on staff and players over the years.
New boss Mauricio Pochettino, however, is unfazed - and has shown plenty of ambition with his latest comments.
“You need time. You need to suffer and keep the bad moments. But maybe now is a different period for us," he told reporters.
"I am sure we’ll achieve something important, maybe in six months, one year or two years, I am sure the club will achieve a very important trophy.”
